September Creekside Cigar Club: A Lineup Worth looking Into

Every month, Creekside Cigar Club members receive five premium cigars selected by our team for balance, quality, and the overall smoking experience. The 10-cigar option includes two of each selection, giving members the chance to revisit a favorite, compare pairings, or share the lineup with a friend. Club members also receive 15% off any cigar that has been in the Club, access to the members-only Discord community, and entry into monthly giveaways.

This month’s box moves from discontinued favorites and vintage small-ring-gauge finds to a meaningful Creekside Custom and two of the more exciting newer boutique cigars in the humidor.

Crowned Heads Coroneta Habano Robusto

The Crowned Heads Coroneta Habano Robusto is a cigar we were excited to put back in members’ hands. This discontinued release brings together an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan filler in a classic 5 x 52 Robusto format. It is a medium-bodied smoke with the kind of balance that made it easy to appreciate when it was available, and hard to replace now that it is not.

Expect a composed profile of cocoa, cedar, cream, and pepper, with a subtle anise note that gives the Habano blend another layer of character. It is an ideal opening cigar for the box: familiar in shape, nuanced in flavor, and increasingly uncommon to find.

Creekside Customs SPG 1947

The third-quarter Creekside Custom is more than a new cigar it is a tribute.

SPG 1947 honors the late father of Mike G., a Creekside lounge regular. The initials recognize his name, while “1947” marks the year he was born. Blending for the project began in June 2025, and the finished cigar is a reflection of the relationships and stories that make Cigars .

Including SPG 1947 in the September club box gives members a first-hand chance to experience a release that is deeply connected to our lounge community. It is the kind of cigar that is best enjoyed without rushing—light it up, settle in, and remember that the best cigars often carry a story beyond the blend.

Crux Ninfamaniac Dark

The Crux Ninfamaniac Dark is the vintage curveball in this month’s lineup. Long discontinued and unlike nearly anything currently on the shelf, this slender 7 x 33 Ninfa uses a double perfecto shape with closed ends. Its dark Nicaraguan Jalapa sun-grown wrapper covers an Indonesian binder and Nicaraguan viso fillers from Estelí.

The size may look delicate, but the Ninfamaniac Dark has plenty to say. It delivers a medium-to-full-bodied experience with wood, leather, coffee, and a touch of natural sweetness, all concentrated through its narrow ring gauge. This is a cigar for members who appreciate a more traditional, old-world style of vitola and the focused flavor that comes with it.

Take your time cutting both ends, keep the draw open, and let the profile build. It is a rare chance to smoke a piece of Crux history.

Hermanos de Armas Sentinel

The Hermanos de Armas Sentinel—HDA for short—is one of the newest and most limited cigars in the box. Created with Lee Marsh of Stolen Throne Cigars and rolled at Rojas Cigar Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, Sentinel is a 6 x 50 Toro designed to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

The blend is straightforward on paper but serious in execution: a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The result is a medium-bodied, chocolate-forward smoke with richness, earth, and a measured amount of spice. Only 600 boxes were produced, making Sentinel a true small-batch release and a strong example of what HDA is doing with its new factory partnership.

For members who enjoy San Andrés Maduro and balanced Nicaraguan character, Sentinel may be the cigar in the box that earns a second look first.

Tradecraft Gladius

Rounding out the September selection is the Tradecraft Gladius, a bold boutique cigar made for smokers who want presence, depth, and plenty of flavor without sacrificing balance. The Gladius uses a fire-cured Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and a complex filler recipe that includes Pennsylvania Broadleaf, Ecuadorian Puntiao, and Corojo tobaccos.

Expect notes of dark cocoa, earth, leather, black pepper, roasted espresso, baking spice, and a subtle sweetness through the finish. It is a full-flavored cigar with a clean, deliberate profile—one that rewards a slow pace and pairs naturally with a pour of bourbon, a strong coffee, or an unhurried evening. Tradecraft calls Gladius “flavor over power,” and that is exactly the right way to approach it.

A Box Built for Discovery

September’s Creekside Cigar Club is about more than checking off five cigars. It is a mix of past and present: discontinued Crowned Heads and Crux releases, a limited HDA collaboration, a new-school full-flavored Tradecraft blend, and a Creekside Custom rooted in the story of one of our own.

Whether you smoke the lineup in order or save each cigar for the right moment, we hope this box introduces you to something memorable.

Enjoy the box, share your thoughts in the Creekside Cigar Club Discord, and remember: club members receive 15% off every cigar that has been in the Club
