Gellis Family Absolutos Corona Gorda is the inaugural release from Kyle Gellis under the Gellis Family Cigars name. Handmade at NACSA in Estelí, Nicaragua, this 5.5 x 48 soft box-pressed Corona Gorda is a 100% sun-grown Nicaraguan puro. The blend combines tobaccos from Estelí, Ometepe, Condega, and Jalapa, delivering the depth of Nicaragua’s major growing regions in a compact, refined format.
The cigar opens with toasted cedar, black pepper, baking spice, and earthy sweetness. As it develops, walnut, leather, brown sugar, dark fruit, cream, and a touch of caramel round out the profile. The sun-grown construction gives the smoke a firm texture and natural richness, while the Corona Gorda format keeps the spice, wood, and sweetness closely integrated.
Absolutos Corona Gorda is well suited to smokers who appreciate a flavorful Nicaraguan puro with structure and progression. It offers a medium-plus profile that is expressive without being overwhelming, making it a natural choice with espresso, aged rum, or a richer bourbon.
