Powstanie was created in 2015 by Polish-American brothers Mike and Greg Szczepankiewicz, owners of the Cigar Hustler shop in Deltona, Florida. Powstanie means 'uprising' in Polish, a nod to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising and the Polish resistance in World War II.
