Casa Cuevas La Mandarria—Spanish for “the sledgehammer”—is a bold, limited-production Toro created by master blender Luis Cuevas Sr. Rolled in a 6 x 52 format at Tabacalera Las Lavas in Santiago, Dominican Republic, it uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican Olor binder and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. A pigtail cap and shaggy foot add a distinctive hand-finished presentation before the cigar is even lit.
La Mandarria opens with cedar, hay, leather, almond, and baking spice, followed by demerara sugar and a measured black-pepper note.
