Fernandez at his Esteli factory and released in May 2019, it is the medium-to-full entry in the Epicure trilogy. The 6 1/4 x 52 Toro gives the blend the room it needs to unfold slowly.
Rich mocha and cocoa open the cigar, followed by espresso beans and deep, rich earth. Black pepper carries the early thirds before shifting to white pepper late, with cedar and a sweet tobacco, stewed raisin note providing balance. Smoky barbecue and char build through the back half, closing on leather with a dry, mineral-tinged finish.
