The Rodriguez Cigars Serie 84 Maduro Robusto is a medium-full 5 x 50 built for smokers who appreciate dark flavor, traditional construction, and a blend that gets richer as it goes. Created to honor the 1984 opening of the Rodriguez Cigar Factory, this Maduro pairs an oily Habano Maduro wrapper with Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian binder tobaccos and a Nicaraguan filler blend. The wrapper is aged in cedar barrels before rolling, adding another layer of aroma and character to the finished cigar.
The profile is deep and satisfying from the start, bringing together leather, dark cocoa, espresso, earth, and sweet cedar with a steady undercurrent of black pepper and baking spice. The Robusto format keeps the blend focused and concentrated, while the Nicaraguan core gives it enough body to feel substantial without turning rough or overly aggressive.
For fans of fuller cigars with a dessert-like edge, the Serie 84 Maduro Robusto offers a lot to come back to. Expect a rich, creamy finish with coffee and cocoa character, balanced by the kind of structure that makes it an easy choice for an evening smoke or a pairing with bourbon, dark roast coffee, or a pour of rum.
