Description

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Indonesian
Filler: Nicaraguan and Dominican
Origin: Nicaragua
Size: 4" x 46 Charity (Petito)

The RoMa Craft Intemperance EC XVIII Charity is the smallest vitola in the line, a 4 x 46 petito built around an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, an Indonesian binder and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican leaf. It is rolled at Fábrica de Tabacos NicaSueño in Estelí, and despite the short format it smokes mild-to-medium with the polish RoMa Craft is known for. Small size, full attention to detail.

The draw is creamy and smooth, with caramel and roasted nuts leading the way. Cinnamon and sweet spice weave through the center alongside cocoa and a fresh-cut grass brightness, while cedar, leather and a touch of bitter citrus peel keep the finish from ever going flat.

Intemperance was RoMa Craft Tobac's first line, with branding borrowed from the American temperance movement — EC XVIII nods to the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and the 18th Amendment, and Charity takes its name from the temperance virtues. At 4 x 46, this is the ideal short smoke: a coffee break, a dog walk, or a quick one before dinner. At around $5.25 a stick from a 24-count cedar cabinet, it is one of the best-value boutique cigars on the shelf.
