Description
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Corojo
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan Corojo '99 and Criollo '98
Origin: Nicaragua
Size: 5 5/8" x 46 Corona Gorda
The Warped La Hacienda Superiores is a Nicaraguan puro dressed in a shade-grown Jalapa Corojo '99 wrapper, with Nicaraguan binder and a Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 filler core. Blended by Kyle Gellis and made at the TABSA factory in Esteli, it revives a vintage early-1900s Cuban brand name meaning "The Estate," and has been a regular-production Warped line since 2015. The 5 5/8 x 46 Superiores corona gorda is the size that shows the blend at its most focused, landing squarely in medium-plus territory.
Cedar and roasted nuts lead the way, with pistachio sweetness and supple leather filling in behind. A prune-like dried fruit note arrives mid-cigar alongside graham cracker and anise, while black pepper and sweet oak carry the finish. The corona gorda ring gauge concentrates all of it beautifully.
This is a cigar for smokers who prefer classic shapes and layered, traditional Nicaraguan flavor over sheer size. It suits an afternoon on the porch with coffee or a glass of aged rum just as well as it does an evening in the lounge. If you have never smoked a Warped, La Hacienda Superiores is the right place to start.
