Trust me or not, this is the best Connecticut I've ever smoked.

Trust me or not, this is the best Connecticut I've ever smoked.

Wrapper - Ecuadorian grade 9 desflorada Connecticut

Binder - Connecticut Broadleaf

Filler - Connecticut Broadleaf, Dominican Corojo, Nicaraguan Jalapa and Condega

Vitola - 6 x 48

It is HERE. It’s in our hands and it’s been smoking RIDICULOUS. Truth be told, I’m not a huge Connecticut smoker. I enjoy a select few, but it’s rare I light up a Connecticut. I smoked the final blend iteration before production, and then I smoked a full production banded cigar, and it was absurd. The wrapper leaf is BEAUTIFUL.

Imber would do a way better job explaining the story, but it’s an ode to our city, Cincinnati. A poet named Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote a poem about Cincinnati, and in that poem he refers to Cincy as the queen of the west.

It does not smoke like a regular Connecticut by any stretch. The broadleaf binder and broadleaf in the filler give it a significant amount more body than almost any Connecticut I’ve ever smoked. The first third opens with nesquik powder and bread, and a decent amount of sweet leather. The smoke is DENSE. It’s so creamy, the smoke is literally chewy.

The second third down to the nub is this insane buttery chocolate cake with a bright raspberry jam. It’s a dark, dense, rich chocolate with a bright red fruit note and that dark sweet leather along with a toasted bread note. It’s got tons of baking spice as well, especially through the retro. It’s medium to medium plus, complex, sweet, bready, and rich. It’s my favorite Connecticut I’ve ever smoked, one of my favorite cigars to date. And I am not a Connecticut guy. That should tell you all you need to know.

It’s being released at the below listed retailers on August 17th:

Cigar cigars

The Vault - Alabama

Small Batch

Cigar den

Tinder box Haverford

Drop

Unicorn hunter

Cigar Hustler

Stogies Ft Meyers

Vault NJ

Wendell Cigar co

And on August 21st we will be holding a release event featuring Hostos Fernandez, who is the owner of Tabacalera La Isla, the factory where Queen Of The West is produced. From August 21st and beyond, they will be a regular production cigar you can buy anytime at creekside or our list of retailers.

I’m SO excited for you guys to get them in your hands and smoke them. Order online or see us in store on the 21st, or snag some from a retailer on the 17th.

Go smoke really good cigars, and smoke in great company.

Peace,

CP
