Description

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Origin: Nicaragua
Size: 5 3/8" x 46 Corona Gorda

The Crux Epicure Connecticut Corona Gorda takes the line's Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler and puts it in a trim 5 3/8 x 46 format. Added as the fourth size in the Epicure family at the 2017 IPCPR show and rolled at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Esteli, this corona gorda concentrates the blend without adding weight. Expect a mild-to-medium smoke with a clean, polished character.

Cedar and cashews open the cigar, with walnut richness and cream filling in behind. A soft bread note runs beneath nutmeg and kitchen spices, while hay and leather add texture through the middle. Sweet tobacco gradually turns earthy and mossy, and heavy pepper builds on the retrohale and finish.

The smaller ring gauge makes this a great choice when you have an hour rather than an evening, and it is well suited to a morning coffee or a mid-afternoon break. Smokers who find robustos too broad for Connecticut blends will appreciate the focus here. Packed in 10-count boxes, it is an easy addition to your next order.
