The Crux Epicure Habano Robusto is a Nicaraguan puro dressed in a Habano seco wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, made with the Plasencia family in Esteli. Released in the summer of 2023 as one of four launch sizes and the third blend in the Epicure line, it delivers a medium-to-full smoke in a classic 5 x 50 Robusto. The seco-priming wrapper is what sets it apart, adding brightness where most Nicaraguan puros go heavy.
Black and crushed red pepper spice lead off, tempered by toasted oak and cedar. Rich earth grounds the middle while citrus rind and cream lift the top end, and coffee and mocha deepen the second half. Dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and charred minerals carry it to a long, savory finish.
