Description

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Deflorada
Binder: Ecuadorian Habano 2000 and Brazilian Arapiraca
Filler: Nicaraguan
Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 6" x 52 Toro

The Warped Isla del Cocodrilo Toro is a three-country blend crowned with a rich Ecuadorian Habano Deflorada wrapper, laid over a dual binder of Ecuadorian Habano 2000 and Brazilian Arapiraca with a Nicaraguan filler core. Rolled at Tabacalera La iSLA in Santiago, Dominican Republic, it takes its name from the crocodile-like shape of Cuba and arrived as Warped's 2024 PCA trade show release. In a 6 x 52 Toro, it smokes medium-bodied with plenty of complexity in reserve.

Dried fruit and cream set the tone early, joined by leather, oak, and clean cedar. Cinnamon graham cracker and baking spice build through the middle, and a brown sugar sweetness rounds off the finish. Kyle Gellis chose the Deflorada wrapper specifically for the added richness, and you can taste exactly where it shows up.

The Cocodrilo Toro suits the smoker who wants nuance rather than brute strength, and the Toro format gives you a full hour to work through it. Pair it with an espresso, a bourbon, or simply good conversation. Released in limited 15-count boxes, this one is worth pulling off the shelf before it disappears.
